Two prominent roles of calcium formate in aquaculture production

Feed grade calcium formate is first organic calcium. Strictly speaking, it contains 30.1% calcium and 68% formic acid. It can be said that its purity is particularly high. As a feed additive, it has many advantages, such as high calcium content, low heavy metal content, good water solubility, good palatability of livestock and poultry and so on. Calcium in calcium formate, as a high-quality calcium source, can play a good calcium supplement effect, while formic acid, another component, has two particularly important effects, which is difficult to be replaced by other products.

1) Lower the pH of the gastrointestinal tract. The intestines and stomach of animals need a good acidic environment. For itself, it is to produce gastric acid to reduce pH. On the one hand, it greatly reduces the burden of acid production in the intestines and stomach, and improves the digestion and absorption efficiency of food in the intestines and stomach; On the other hand, the acidic environment inhibits the growth and reproduction of harmful bacteria such as Escherichia coli in the intestines and stomach, creates a suitable living environment for probiotics such as lactic acid bacteria, and further prevents the occurrence of diarrhea in breeding animals such as piglets.

Selection of feed grade calcium formate

Calcium source. Application range of feed grade calcium formate
